Yellow coloured days

Yellow is the colour between green and orange.
Yellow is a very common colour whenever you want to see yellow look up at the sky.
Yellow is in ripe lemons and egg yolks and other things like that.
Yellow makes you happy and feel like you can do anything.
Yellow can also make  you feel energetic, smiley and safe.
Yellow is a bright colour so when you bike on a bike on the road cars can see you.
Yellow is like a banana and chicken soup.
Yellow is a descriptive word.
Yellow is the colour of sunshine, hope and happiness.
Yellow stands for freshness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, remembrance, intellect, honour, loyalty, and joy, but on the other, it represents cowardice and deceit.

Purple coloured days

Purple is an prodigious  colour.
I couldn’t commerce it with another.
When I think purple I think of plums.
I think of 5 cent candy yums.
An impeccable mix of blue and red.
With just 3 coats we’ll paint the shed.
Purple is so amateurish it will not rhyme,
With any word that I could find.
That’s okay I think I’ll live,
But what a speechless assignment to give.

We are learning about accountability and taking ownership for our actions, so what we do. We played shark attack and some peoples competitive natures got in the way of other people having fun.
Sometimes we have to choose between what we want to do and what we need to do.

For our next activity, we even needed to be accountable for our actions in sharing pens with each other. We brainstormed ideas about things that it's okay to say no to...

In the trenches

Depth charges blow up keeping germans away. I wonder how
many dead bodies were there?

Guns blow to win the war. I wonder how many limitless men came back from warfare?

Rats consume flesh hungering to eat. I wonder how many multiple rats had nutriment?

Whale oil put on bodies because they were frozen to death. I wonder if they lived?

Mad, Mad, Mad and a little sad,
RED is the colour that makes me bad,
Ireful person as can be,
I’m gonna steal this person’s key,
Hey YOU come over here,
So I can show you my BIG, ANGRY BEAR.
Should we tomorrow have a challenge?,
Because tomorrow I will be ORANGE.

The Footprint

A mysterious footprint appeared on the  shore. It was enormous, gigantic, colossal footprint in the flocculant sand. It was like donkey kong came to life but much more colossal. Who could of made it Hulk, maybe even the big foot. Perhaps zombies suddenly existed and put their feet together and made on big footprint. What I think is that when the man steps he turns into a beast but nobody sees it. Perhaps an animal from the sea mysteriously grew a giant foot and popped it out of the sea and made the giant footprint. Someone might of sketched it on the shore. No one will ever know what happened...

I feel quite down, spinning round and round.
I thought it was hard to feel this down!
My coloured day has changed the way I feel.
Now my name is Dr Down.
I crawled my way through the day, just to feel my special way.
No matter what I say, I still feel this way. There’s just no cure to feel my special way.
I almost feel upside down,
just like a monkey swinging to and from the branches,
Maybe, just maybe, tomorrow I will be PINK!

Sneak peek... KapaHaka trip to Broadfields

Our School Kapa Haka group were lucky enough to be invited to perform at Broadfields School today... Here's a quick sneak peak into our performance.

I walked through a forest to a log cabin...

We were going home from school when we found a path. We sprinted through a long forest. It was a fine day. We found a small cute cuddly kiwi, then we saw a hole in a rock. We thought that it was a normal rock… But before we knew, a bear crept out of the bush and it went for us. Then before we knew, a lion took out the bear with a tiger. I saw a lot of black and red eyes. I smelt a whisper of smoke. The smoke lead me to a log cabin.

Green is happy.

Green day's deep deep in the sea.
Cool and quiet fish that's me.
The next day on bright green days.
How good it feels to be a frog, and eat my flies.
On other days I’m other things.
On bright green days...
I walk alone on bright green leaves and I look for more yummy flies.
Green is my favourite colour.
Green is my favourite coloured day.
You can be a green flamingo.
Green is happy.
I know who or what I am.
Do you know what is amazing?
The colour green because it is blazing.

Red Is Rage

  RedHowling, Wolf, Animal
Red is rage. It is like an erupting volcano. I feel like that today.
I feel like a distressed wolf, hunting for my prey,
because it is the only way to make me sane.
So, if you flash a sight of me, you better run away.
I might attack and sink in my teeth, as sharp as a shark.
So if you want to race, wait for tomorrow, because I might be BLACK,
then I will race like a rat, and that is that.

We started our Kiwican session today with a video of the Kid President... Whether you're a kid or a grown up, you're a hero. Hero's are just everyday people who do extraordinary things.
We talked about integrity.
We met our new Kiwican leader... Nathan.
