"Do the right thing when nobody is watching."
We played "Tricky Tag" which made us have to make really good choices in the way we reacted! It was really hard sometimes, because some peoples competitive nature got in the way of their honesty in choosing to gracefully accept they'd been tagged.
We worked in teams to identify the names of famous people. We had to work together, as a team, to try and figure out their names. These people are role models. They can influence U.S. In a positive way because...
- they inspire us to try and become like them.
- giving back to others.
To be a good role model, you need to have:
- tenacity,
- resilience
- humble
- integrity
Some of our role models are:
Greg Inglis
My uncles, mum & dad, siblings
Julie Andrew
Stan Walker
Sean Johnson

Making Good Choices

Everyone was really excited to have Katie back today! We had to show integrity in our energiser, by being honest if the ball hit us.
We played LifeSize Guess Who... We had to work really hard to not call out or comment at others.

Monday, 9 May 2016

We played the running paper scissors rock game. We talked about what integrity means to us... what it means in the classroom and the playground.
We played mega memory, collaborating to find matching pairs. We had to use integrity because there were holes in the top of the cones that we could peek through.

Good choices and bad choices

We are learning about doing the right thing, making good choices and being a role model for others. Katie was away today... But we had Nikki to step in.
We played Whoosh. We needed to have a person who showed great integrity, to write our scores...
We made good choices by taking turns, supporting each other (when we got 4 points and if we missed).
We look forward to seeing Katie again next week!

Mahirap Mahuli, Sapagkat Nangangagat

In our learning space, we have a number of learners who are from the Philippines. Today we learned a song from their homeland, putting ourselves in their shoes be getting stuck in and learning the words in a Filipino.
